Reality blog award

reality-blog-award1

Promised, this is the last award for now while I am of course hoping that there are more to come in the future. Again, I need to answer a few questions before I can nominate the same bloggers as I always do.

Alison, thank you again and have fun traveling! We are following you :).

Reality blog award Q&A:

1. If you could change one thing, what would you change? I would want that everybody is happy.

2. If you could repeat an age, what would it be? No do-overs, all is fine as it is.

3. What one thing really scares you? A lot but mostly losing a loved one.

4. What is one dream you have not completed and do you think you’ll be able to complete it? I am just about to complete one dream, traveling the world by bike. Another dream is to finally have my own huge vegetable garden and grow all the fruits and vegetables I like, and yes, that’s doable for sure.

5. If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be? This one scares me, I’ve got enough to do to just be myself.

And these are my usual nominations:

1. Manboy – for his colorful, descriptive, funny but sometimes also disgusting way of writing

2. Sharon and Tom – for their courage to tour the world for more than two years

3. Darcie – for having written a book and leaving corporate world for more

4. Effie – for being a wonderful person and to encourage her to continue writing

5. DizzyLizzy – for a great writer and good friend, but also to encourage her to write more fun stuff and less job stuff

6. Mike – for always liking our blogs and for what he does

7. Joe – for cycling where we will cycle soon as well

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

very-inspiring-blogger-award

Wow! Another award nomination! This time from Alex’s cycle. Thank you so much Alex! And for those who don’t know this award as yet, I have to tell you seven things about myself and nominate seven other bloggers for the same.

Here you go:

1. I am a world citizen, but I am still proud to be German even though we Germans are not allowed to be so. Everybody in India asks me about Adolf Hitler as soon as they learn I am German. I still like to be German but dislike to have a ‘smelly’ history.

2. I’ve spent two months in India and another month is yet to come, did you know that I hate chaos?

3. I am a fading blonde as I don’t think they can dye my hair in India or elsewhere in Asia.

4. I am a sports addict and cycling is my favorite.

5. I love being outdoors and exposed to the elements, especially the sun.

6. I love cooking and I love eating even more. That’s why I am a sports addict.

7. I am a hard worker, stubborn, unforgiving, impatient, moody, difficult but I still have friends, and Johan, that’s the best.

And these are the bloggers I would like to nominate:

1. Manboy – for his colorful, descriptive but sometimes disgusting way of writing

2. Sharon and Tom – for their courage to cycling the world for more than two years

CONGRATULATIONS!

Liebster Blog Award Nomination

Thank you Manboy for nominating us again for an award – this time for the Liebster Blog Award, we are very honored! Our answers are certainly not as filthy as your’s but we are glad we still got a hope we’ll still get a chance t

Since Cycling the World is a couple’s blog, it’s a bit trickier to find an answer we are both happy with, we’ve given it a try.

  1. Which would you prefer to own. A double sided lightsaber or a hovercraft? Discuss in detail.
None of this. We would like to win the lottery (at least 10 million EUR), buy a mansion in the South of France with Sea view, Sea access and no neighbors and continue cycling the world during the bad weather season and until our bodies tell us it’s enough.
  2. What is the best destination you’ve ever been to?
There is no single best destination, we’ve been to many places and the best destination is the one we haven’t cycled yet but aim to do so soon.
  3. What inspired you to start writing your blog?
The idea to be able to write about things we really love and write whatever we want to without bothering too much if this is appropriate or not. And also the idea of staying in touch with our families and friends while we are traveling and let them be a virtual part of our trip.
  4.  Hostels or hotels. Which do you prefer?
B&Bs where you feel at home and meet interesting people. Hotels are boring but a good alternative in less developed countries if you want to take a warm shower and sleep in clean beds. Hostels are great if you can cook yourself (we love cooking) and if you like to meet interesting people or weirdos, chances are much higher in hostels than in hotels.
  5.  And finally, how much cheese is too much cheese?
Ten tourists posing for a picture in front of the Taj Mahal saying “cheese”. Other than that, there is never enough cheese, especially in India, where there is no cheese.

And now we’d like to nominate the following bloggers for the Liebster Blog award:

1. http://north2northcycletour.wordpress.com

2. http://alisonanddon.wordpress.com

3. http://alexscycle.wordpress.com

4. http://netitheyeti.com

And here are our 5 questions:

  1. What would you do if you’d win the lottery?
  2. What’s your favorite dish? Share the recipe.
  3. If you were reborn as an animal, which animal would you be and why?
  4. If you had to leave your home country, where would you like to live and why?
  5. What is your preferred mode of transportation while traveling and why?

Good luck!
